Acer presenterade under gårdagen sitt nya androidflaggskepp – ett monster med en 4.8 tum stor skärm i det för handburna enheter minst sagt ovanliga 21:9-formatet. Upplösningen är enligt uppgift 1024×480 (Ultra Wide VGA?) och vidare kan vi se specifikationer som kamera på åtta megapixlar med LED-blixt och en HDMI-port.

Acer beskriver i sitt pressmeddelande enheten, som märkligt nog ännu inte verkar ha fått ett namn, som den perfekta kombinationen av smartphone och tablet och menar att den är ypperlig för bland annat webbsurfning, tack vare den högupplösta skärmen. Det låter förstås minst sagt mäktigt med en upplösning på 1024×480 pixlar, men vi kan inte hjälpa att undra hur det kommer bli med såväl app- som spelkompatibilitet med en såpass udda upplösning. QVGA (240×320 pixlar), som är en betydligt vanligare upplösning, innebär som många har fått erfara nog med bekymmer… så hur blir det med det här monstret är vi mycket nyfikna på att se.
