Utomlands är det främst millimetervågor. USA verkar ju lustigt nog ligga lite i framkant för ovanlighetens skull:
Verizon:
Verizon 5G uses the 28GHz and 39GHz bands, both of which are high-band millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies. Verizon holds 76 percent of the available 28GHz band and 46 percent of the available 39GHz band. So far there’s no indication Verizon will use LTE Band 71 for long-range 5G coverage like T-Mobile.
T-mobile:
For short-range transmissions, the company will rely on millimeter wave bands like AT&T and Verizon. In this case, T-Mobile will use a 200MHz chunk of spectrum in the 28GHz and 39GHz bands, both of which are high-band frequencies. You’ll likely see T-Mobile 5G use these bands in cities and Band 71 in rural areas.
Sprint:
Sprint is using its large 2.5GHz mid-band spectrum holdings in Band 41 to launch a nationwide 5G service in
the first half of 2019. Band 41 has a width of 194MHz and a frequency between 2,496MHz (2.49GHz) and 2,690MHz (2.69GHz).
