Det finns mängder av studier på mobilstrålning och cancer. För att kunna göra studier på det så finns det såklart fall. Sen är det såklart svårt att avgöra från ett enskillt fall av cancer i en person om det var mobilen som orsakade cancern, därför får man göra större studier.

The researchers said that incidence of brain tumors in rural areas of Sweden was much higher among users of GSM cell phones than among rural residents who were not cell phone users. The rate was also higher than among GSM users in urban areas.
The chance of developing a malignant brain tumor was roughly eight times higher for cell phone users in the Swedish countryside than in urban areas. The risk of developing any brain tumor was four times higher for country dwellers using mobile phones for five years or more, compared with those who did not use the devices.
The study suggests that mobile handsets in rural areas deliver a higher dose of electromagnetic radiation because they have to transmit a stronger signal to distant transmission towers, whereas towers are closer together in urban areas, resulting in phones transmitting a weaker signal.
The study was conducted by Lennart Hardell, a professor of oncology at university hospital in Orebro, Sweden. It was published on today in a British journal, Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
Researchers looked at more than 1,400 adults aged 20 to 80 who had been diagnosed with a malignant or benign brain tumor between 1997 and 2000. The brain cancer patients were compared with a similar number of healthy adults living in the same area. Each group was asked to recall their daily use of mobile and cordless phones.
Swedish Study Finds Cell Phone-Brain Tumor Link
Published in the November issue of the journal Epidemiology, the Swedish study, led by Stefan Lönn of the Karolinska Institute, looked at 148 people who had acoustic neuroma and compared them with 604 healthy people. It found that people who used cellphones for more than 10 years doubled their risk of developing the tumor, a benign condition affecting one in 100 000 people. Acoustic neuroma grows on the nerve connecting the brain and the inner ear, causing hearing loss. The risk was four times as high on the side of the head where the phone was usually held.

We made a pooled analysis of two case-control studies on malignant brain tumours with patients diagnosed during 1997–2003 and 2007–2009. They were aged 20–80 years and 18–75 years, respectively, at the time of diagnosis. Only cases with histopathological verification of the tumour were included. Population-based controls, matched on age and gender, were used. Exposures were assessed by questionnaire. The whole reference group was used in the unconditional regression analysis adjusted for gender, age, year of diagnosis, and socio-economic index. In total, 1498 (89%) cases and 3530 (87%) controls participated. Mobile phone use increased the risk of glioma, OR = 1.3, 95% CI = 1.1–1.6 overall, increasing to OR = 3.0, 95% CI = 1.7–5.2 in the >25 year latency group. Use of cordless phones increased the risk to OR = 1.4, 95% CI = 1.1–1.7, with highest risk in the >15–20 years latency group yielding OR = 1.7, 95% CI = 1.1–2.5. The OR increased statistically significant both per 100 h of cumulative use, and per year of latency for mobile and cordless phone use. Highest ORs overall were found for ipsilateral mobile or cordless phone use, OR = 1.8, 95% CI = 1.4–2.2 and OR = 1.7, 95% CI = 1.3–2.1, respectively. The highest risk was found for glioma in the temporal lobe. First use of mobile or cordless phone before the age of 20 gave higher OR for glioma than in later age groups.
