Ett sätt att föra över mkv som är över 4 Gb

If you connect the phone in Kies mode (in the usb settings) and it connects properly you will get a "GT-I9000" Device show up in my computer instead of the standard lettered drive under "Devices with removable storage". It seems that you need to have Kies running in the background (with the icon in your system tray) but not fully open for this to work (not entirely sure on this as Kies is finicky). When you double click on the GT-I900 device in my computer you will get options for the internal or external sd card (assuming you have one installed).

I've found that if you copy a larger than 4gb mkv it uses the Kies service to split the file and put it on the sd card automatically. You may be confused when it finishes as it only shows 1 file, it is smart enough to hid the others. The size of the file seems to be the amount that the original one was over 4gb (ex a 4.7gb movie will show as 700mb), however if you check the space avail on the sd card you will see that it contains the full movie. I transfered a 4.7gb 720p rip of "Tropic Thunder" this way to my phone and it played just fine on the samsung video player."

Provade själv med en 4,3 Gb fil och det verkar funka att föra över filen. Har ett class 6 sd kort tar ca 10-15 min. Spelar fint på samsung videoplayer funkade dock inte på rockplayer även om man väljer i settings använd systemplayer Ett tips för oss som inte befattar oss med kvalle under 720p någonsin...

 

Du befattar dig med en kvalitet som är maximalt 480p varje gång du tittar på din telefon...

Inte säkert han gör det på datorn/TVn dock, och orka ladda ner dubbelt av allt? Är samma för mig.

edit: finns det inget annat sätt att flytta äver de stora filerna? Orkar inte använda Kies..

 

Wtf, jag minns inte att jag gjorde Sådär första och enda gången....

Tror att jag valde mass storage bara och överförde....

Samma här, valde bara Mass Storage och förde över filerna i Total Commander. Hur smidigt som helst!

 

Eftersom fat32 har en max filstorlek på 4 gb http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Allocation_Table måste du åstakommit ett under om du lyckades överföra en fil överstigande 4 Gb utan någon typ av splitting av filen...
