vad är skillnad på 3G och H ikonen?

Som topic vaf skiljer dom åt? Jag har bara kontantkort så jag är begränsad till 1 mbit. Jag tror att det betyder att man har det.snabba 3g nätet om det är så drar det mer och isåfall kan jag stänga av det?

 

H = Turbo-3G. Minns inte exakt namnet (HSTC?). Visar den H går det snabbast Visar den E (edge) går det långsamt, då har den inte 3G-täckning.

Är det någon som har testat skillnaden i hastighet? Menar i praktiken och inte i teorin.

Mitt abb är strypt vid 1mbps och där med kan jag inte testa det. Men hur påverkas hastigheterna i mbps och skiljer det något i svarstide/ping?

 

1G = 1G (or 1-G) refers to the first-generation of wireless telephone technology, mobile telecommunications. These are the analog telecommunications standards that were introduced in the 1980s and continued until being replaced by 2G digital telecommunications. The main difference between two succeeding mobile telephone systems, 1G and 2G, is that the radio signals that 1G networks use are analog, while 2G networks are digital.

2G = (or 2-G) is short for second-generation wireless telephone technology. Dessa olika standarder använder sig sedan av olika tekniker för samtal och dataanslutning.

I min X10i har jag sett telefonen visa följande bokstäver när jag har datakommunikation aktiverat där jag misstänker följande.

G = GPRS (General Packer Radio Service) som tillåter mellan 56-114Kbit /s En teknik som kan användas i GSM-nät.

E = EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution) (also known as Enhanced GPRS (EGPRS)) tillåter datahastigheter upp till 236,8Kbit /s.
Och så har också Evolved EDGE kommit som tillåter upp till 1Mbit /s

3G = Då misstänker jag att min telefon använder Release '99 av 3G-nätet, dvs tillåter upp till 384Kbit /s

H = HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) som tillåter upp till 14Mbit /s, dock i mitt fall har min operatör lovat upp till 6Mbit /s

Nej. Du kan stänga av all data, men då kan du inte surfa alls. Låt det vara bara. Spara batteri genom att ha på WiFi hemma.

 

One way to get longer battery life is to disable HSPA / HSDPA / HSUPA and limit the phone to using 3G. 3G (UMTS) is not as slow as 2.5G (EDGE/GPRS) but doesn't use as much power as HSPA.

Here's a quick comparison of *typical* download speeds:
GPRS: 48 kbit/s, EDGE: 150-200 kbit/s, 3G: 384 kbit/s, HSDPA: 1000 kbit/s

This is how to do it for the Galaxy S:

Go to the phone dialer pad and enter this code: *#301279#

You should see something like:



Click [2] CHANGE HSPA REVISION



Click [1] RELEASE 99 (HSPA OFF)

Then you should see something like:



Done!

Press the BACK button to exit, or press MENU button then END.

The setting should take effect shortly after you exit the menu. To be sure that the setting take effect, toggle Flight/Airplane mode.

You could store that number in your phone book or speed dial for a quick way to toggle HSPA.

Den koden fungerar inte för mig

 

Du använder det ju om du får en hastighet som är mer än 384kbit/s, dvs mellan 384kbit/s och 1000kbit/s(1Mbit/s) används H-läget. Om det är någon skillnad i batteriförbrukning såp lär den vara minimal.
