Fråga: Vilken av xiaomimobilerna ger mest kamera för pengen? Gcam inkluderat

Den mod jag använde när jag gjorde jämförelsen med Pixel 2 XL var denna:

Jag gjorde inga speciella inställningar vad jag kan minnas utan körde allt default. Dock var det nästan ett år sedan den släpptes så finns såklart nyare moddar att testa.

 

Jo, Gcam kraschar ibland på mina Mi Mix1 och Mi Note 2, säŗskilt om man har för bråttom att fota med HDR+ näŗ man just har öppnat appen.

Sedan kan det vara väldigt knepigt med inställningarna i Gcam, bäst är att utgå ifrån någon inställnings fil för någon liknande mobil.

Sedan kan det ta flera sekunder, upp till kanske 5, att bearbeta HDR+ bilder färdigt.
Har man för bråttom att ta nästa bild försvinner den som håller på att bearbetas.

Nu är det inte så stort problem för mig, eftersom jag håller mycket på att fota mycket små saker, som inte rör på sig, och kan vänta.

Bäst för detta är 16Mpx sensorn i Mix1, med den kan man komma något närmare objektet än Note 2.
Och det fungerar faktiskt väldigt bra, för t.ex pyttesmå ädelmetall stämplar.

 

Jag kan ge ett par tips som lär vara universellt för alla mobiler med Gcam.
- Öka exponeringen med 1/6. Ger lite mindre "crushed blacks" utan att orsaka för mycket artefakter.
- Som app-modell så ger "Nexus6" skarpaste resultaten vid detaljfoto.
- Välj "ISO MIN" för läget enhanced HDR
Jag kör med FU24 och detta ger bra resultat.

 

Gällande stock-kameror på Xiaomis nyare modeller kan denna jämförelse vara intressant:

"If we limit ourselves to comparing nothing but the cameras between the Xiaomi models selected for this comparison we are in for a big surprise. In daylight, the differences between the two Mi 9 models and the Mi Mix 3 were negligible. However, the Sony IMX363 sensor performed much better in low-light situations and was able to capture more details. The 4-in-1 pixel binning was not particularly good, at least not in its current implementation.

The front-facing cameras performed differently. Here, the Mi 9 SE and Mi 9 outperformed last year’s model, and the 20 MP sensors the 9-series is equipped with were able to capture more details and produce sharper images.

What can we reason from this comparison? If you already own a Mi Mix 3 or Mi 8 then swapping it for a current-generation Mi-series smartphone is not going to improve upon photo quality, quite the contrary. Low-light photos in particular turned out much better with the 2018-generation cameras. A second observation was that the differences between the two 9-series devices were comparatively minor, except for the wide-angle lens. In this regard, the Mi 9 is a significant improvement over the Mi 9 SE."

Samsung announces its crazy 108MP Bright HMX camera sensor in partnership with Xiaomi

The Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX is the result of a close collaboration between Xiaomi and Samsung. The sensor sizes up to a large 1/1.33″, allowing it to absorb more light in low-light scenarios. Of course, mobile sensors with high MP count rely on some form of pixel binning and the Bright HMX does so too with Samsung’s Tetracell technology. This allows the sensor to merge four pixels into one, producing brighter 27MP images. The sensor also makes use of Smart ISO, a mechanism that selects the level of amplifier gains according to the lighting for optimal light-to-electric signal conversion. Smart ISO switches to low ISO in bright environments to improve pixel saturation and adopts a high ISO in darker scenes to help reduce noise. Bright HMX also supports video recording up to 6K (6016 x 3384) at 30fps, without losses in field-of-view.
