Okej jag orkar inte leta längre...

Min fru har en x10 men det står x10i i aboutmenyn (trodde den var bara med framkamera, men jag vet inte). I've tried and tried and even tried some more to get the damn thing to update on it's own or at least acknowledge that there's a new update available (I know it's not possible to get it OTA). PC Companion has not been any help. I've tried the 'repair' option and tried from the nyåterställtsläge and everything.. no luck. I've downloaded the update labeled 'R2BA026' cause that's the one that matches the number in the about screen. I've read dozens of walk-throughs - some say I need to remove the battery, some say I only need to hold the back button and THEN plug it in to the computer. I've tried it all with the little batch file that's supposed to do something. Still nothing. My wife and I are about ready to make our own little 'updates' to this thing with a hammer. Honestly, I know there are endless lists of threads with people complaining just like me about SE's contempt for their users, but I just can't stop showing my disgust and utter shock at the failure that is the x10. Even if I somehow fool this thing into doing what it's supposed to and get 2.1 working on it, it's still a product of failure. And to think we signed a contract for it... Can anyone offer me a word of advice or perhaps a comforting hug?

Is it nordic brand in it?

 

I haven't seen any signs of branding. We got it through 3 here i Sverige. I ran SEUS and it said, "Your phone already has the latest software".

Then maybe the phone is locked to 3 and in that case they must approve the update before it is released for their costumers.
As far as i know the 2.1 update is only available for non branded phones right now.

 

I'm with AndreasE on this... If you got it thru "3" then there is a high possibility for it being branded and locked too. So you have to wait it out for a couple of weeks until "3" releases their own branded version of the 2.1.
But there are other ways around it though; debranding or even just rooting and changing a couple of lines to make it appear as a generic (non-3-branded) in SEUS...

This worked for me, mine used to be a "3-phone" but I got it unlocked and later debranded with a UK generic FW. So yesterday I performed this little trick to get the 2.1 update for it and it worked perfectly fine for me :-)

Oj, svårt för mig att svara på. Har inte mycket erfarenhet av mini:n. Har du kollat i servicemenyn vad det står där?

 

säger ingenting att den är brandad, custimized och massa siffror.

 

Jag vet faktiskt inte hur det ska se ut på den luren men ta en titt i avdelningen för x10 mini, där finns säkert mer hjälp att få.
