Tänkte att det kanske är andra som har funderat över att både SanDisks vanliga "microSDHC 16GB" och deras "Mobile Ultra microSDHC 16GB" har klass 2-betäckning.

"Hello, thank you for contacting SanDisk. My name is Ashley K.. Please give me a moment while I look into your question.
Ashley K.: Do you have the memory card available right now ?
Mattias: no, sorry. I have returned them
Mattias: Do you have this card with class 4?
Mattias: What is the product code in that case?
Ashley K.: Alright, please be informed we used to manufacture SanDisk Mobile Ultra memory card in class 4 however now they are transformed to class 2.
Mattias: Hmm, okey. That probably is why every shop says it is class four than
Mattias: So what is the difference between the regular sandisk 16gb card and the mobile card in that case?
Ashley K.: SanDisk Mobile Ultra memory cards are faster than the standard Micro SD cards.
Ashley K.: All our Micro SD cards manufactured by SanDisk is class 2 cards.
Ashley K.: Since we use to manufacture Mobile Ultra card in class 4 that is the reason some of the cards may say class 4 on it however they are class 2 cards.
Mattias: Hmm, sorry but then I dont understand. What I have learned is that the class stands for the speed of the card. And both the regular card and the mobile card is class 2, then there should be no difference in speed between them?
Mattias: How much difference is it between them in that case? And how should I as a customer know what difference there is between them?
Ashley K.: Please allow me 2 minutes.
    Mattias: thank you
Ashley K.: Class rating defines the minimum garunteed read/write speed provided by the card in a worst case scenario.
Mattias: Yes so I have heard. But then I see no reason to buy a mobile card.
Mattias: If both cards guarantee the same
Ashley K.: The maximum and the average speed of the Mobile Ultra cards would be faster in comparison to the standard MicroSD cards.
Ashley K.: Also there is a warranty difference in these products.
Mattias : Ok, what is that difference ?
Ashley K.: Mobile Ultra has a 10 years warranty while the standard MicroSDHC card has a 5 years warranty.
Ashley K.: The average speed provided by the mobile ultra card would be faster than the standard microSDHC card however the minimum guaranteed speed is the same.
Mattias : Hmm ok, a bit strange. But then I know...
    Mattias : thank you :)
Ashley K.: You are welcome, If you can tell me the device in which you are looking to use the memory card I can suggest you a compatible memory card.
Mattias : I am going too use it in my new smartphone that I got today. It is a Samsung Galaxy S I9000.
Mattias : It can record video in 720p among other things
Mattias : So I thought It would be best with a fast card...
Ashley K.: Please allow me 2 minutes while I check the specifications.
Mattias : Ok, thank you. In the meantime I can give you a suggestion from my side. I think you should label your cards with more information about the speeds. I think there are other customers than me that find this pretty strange. It would be good for both SanDisk and the customers.

Ashley K.: We appreciate your feed back and if you would like I can transfer this chat to my supervisor.
    Mattias : Please do
    Ashley K.: Thank you.
    Ashley K.: Please stay online.
    Mattias : No problem
Jeff Mehta: Hello, my name is Jeff. I am a supervisor with SanDisk. Let me assist you further with this case.
    Mattias : Thank you.
Jeff Mehta: I understand that you want to purchase a memory card for your Samsung Galaxy phone but you are not sure if a Class 2 card would work for you.
    Jeff Mehta: Is that correct?
Mattias : Well not exactly. My main wonder was why both the regular micro sdhc card is class 2 and also the mobile one that is more expensive. If there are difference in speed I think it should say so on the card or on the package or something.
Mattias : That is a suggestion from me. It is confusing as a customer as it is now
Mattias : And why I am here I can also ask you what card I should get :).
Mattias : It seems too me that its a bit of a gamble if I go with the mobile card...it may be the same speed as the regular one any way.
Jeff Mehta: You are correct however all SanDisk MicroSDHC card are class 2.
Jeff Mehta: The speed is not the same for both the cards.
Mattias : That is the part that is confusing as a customer...
Jeff Mehta: Although the guaranteed minimum read/write speed is the same but the transfer speed generally would be considerably faster for the Ultra card.
Mattias : Ok, then I know. So what card do you suggest for my Samsung Galaxy S I9000 ?
Jeff Mehta: Most mobile phones do not write data more than 2 Mb/Sec.
Jeff Mehta: I would suggest you to contact Samsung to confirm which class rating is suggested for the phone.
Mattias : Ok. But my phone can record film in 720p, what I have heard I should get a faster card then....
    Jeff Mehta: Yes, I agree.
Mattias : And then you can not say for sure that your class 2 card will be enough
    'Ashley K.' disconnected ('Participant Left').
    Mattias : ?
Jeff Mehta: Yes, that is why I suggest you to contact Samsung before you get a card.
Mattias : Ok, thank you very much.
Jeff Mehta: Is there anything else I may assist you with, $contacts.name.first?
Mattias : This have cleared some question marks for me. Although I think it is sad that there isnt any more sure way to say what the speeds are on the card. What I have heard from tests of your cards is that they perform alot better then a class 2 mark...
Jeff Mehta: Have I explained the next steps needed to resolve this issue clearly to you ?
    Mattias : Yes I understand
Jeff Mehta: We'll send you the incident number that you can use to reference this chat, and also, the chat transcript in a follow-up email.
Jeff Mehta: Thank you for contacting SanDisk, and you have a great day.
'Mattias ' disconnected ('Concluded by Agent').

Men round trip delay blir flera timmar.
