    Hej!

I'm supposed to propse a smartphone model to my company,
they will buy a decent number of them.
Ofcourse I'm going for ANDROID, but my only experience is with ACER Liquid,
and I'm quite glad with it.

Can you see an other reason that I should suggest another phone?
    Budget is around 4000Kr each.

It will be used mostly to access Mail (exchange) , Reading/editing documents (PDF-WORD,Excel) , if it can run Cisco VPN (Which icould not with 1.6 so far)then it will be more than great.

    thanks in advance

I'd pick a HTC Hero. It's very personal though:
I like physical buttons more than touch
    I think it's better looking
    It has a trackball
Sense UI is fast on HTC Hero, and if it's fast I'd rather have it than original Android OS
    Got more RAM

    Altough:
    Liquid has higher screen resolution
Has Cortex A8 CPU (though underclocked)

    My choice: HTC Hero.

Have to disagree about the HTC Hero.
The Hero is old, has old hardware and no matter what official ROM from HTC or custom ROM you are running on it, it is slow. Maybe it will be better when 2.1 will be released but I doubt it.

Without even testing it myself I would say Google Nexus One or even Motorola Droid but these are more expensive and will probably not fit your companys budget

How about waiting for Apple to release a new iPhone in the summer, I know I will. :)

Sense UI is fast, at least from what I've experienced.

Also I added ":)", that is a smiley, welcome to the internetz wmb.
This is a place where you have to make sure that everything you type has a note about it that it is not 100% serious or people will flame you... cause they are dicks. ;)

yayaya: Then you and I have different experiences, which is good. Everything is relative.

Is there nobody here that perhaps has the knowledge about how big the quantity has to be before you get any discount?

Thanks allot for your answers .
Well,Those who are going to have them are interested in Android,
I'm an Android fan too, But I'm more convinced now that I will go for Nokia E72,
Because it will be ME who will give them support, so they will eat my head if it's Android.

The Exchange support in Android 2.x is better by far. Easy to set up and everything just works out of the box (except Exchange calenders currently).

It works well IF the company does not use any of the ActiveSync rules (wipe, password sync etc.) that most companies today use when they set up access to exchange from mobile devices. Otherwise you will not just be able to sync with Exchange and will instead have to use a separate program like Road Sync (which is included with Acerl Liquid) or Touchdown.

I use it as a company phone and I can't really complain about anything but the battery. But that's something you always has to bare in mind buying a smartphone as a business phone.

If you havn't got anything that makes you're phone not go to sleep the battery will be good over a day of checking emails, sending sms and so on.

I sync to my companys exchange server all day long.
    I also sync gmail.
I make phonecalls that sums up in about 2 hours a day with bluetooth.
    I send about 20 SMS

I unplugged the phone around 8am today and after a whole days work, after doing the stuff above, I still got 70% left. Plus that you can charge it with any mini-USB.

    It's got my vote.

Well, I see people are going off topic here....

    - There is Exchange support in Android 2.x
    - There is an application that makes cisco vpn connections (it wants root , but Nexus is rootable per default)
    - There is an application that can read and edit word and exel files called Document to go
    - Android has a pdf viewer no editing I guess

Buy Nexus one , as it will cost about 4000:- for a CO. because you don't need to pay any "Moms"

Use Android Emulator and TEST it well before, you maybe can ask your IT-department to do it for you

I cannot possibly even begin to conceive why someone would prefer Android over e.g. Windows Mobile when it comes to phones used in the workplace. I'd say Android's more of a toy operating system, much like iPhone OSX. Windows Mobile feels so much more formal, although then again, I assume that's a matter of taste.

I see you've chosen to go with Nokia, but in case you change your mind and decide to go with Android after all I'd suggest you'd opt the SE X10. Perhaps even a Nexus One, but since none of these are within the budget range I'd say Acer Liquid sounds like a solid selection.

    Cheers!
