Can't get Tele2 data to work on HTC Desire

Hey, sorry I will have to write this in English.

I have an HTC Desire bought from the UK, originally locked to T-Mobile. The guy who bought it "unlocked it" somehow -- I'm not sure how he did it, and he doesn't remember. But it works great on the 3 network, so it is unlocked.

Problem: It works perfectly with Tre -- around 7mbps download, but with Tele2, the download speed is around 200 kbs -- garbage. His SIM kort has been replaced, and it works perfectly in my Nexus S. So the problem is the Tele2 sim and the HTC Desire.

It's rooted running Oxygen 2.2 right now, but it didn't work before either -- I rooted it to try to fix the problem.

Do you guys have any ideas? You would know better since you understand buying foreign phones and using them on your network

Have you checket that you have the correct apn-settings (for telel2) for mobile data?

Does the phone connect to the 3g network or does it only connect to GSM?

Ok, I'll give that a try -- it different than the APN I have in there now. I'll let you know. Thanks for the help!

If it doesn't work, do you have any other ideas?

 

Does the phone connect to 3g? Do you get the "H" or "3G" icon in statusbar or does it only show E (GSM)?

What speed do you have on WiFi? Is it also low?

I just heard that Telia and Tele2 share Sweden3G network and alot of people have problems with 3g and tele2 when using "fake sim". Doesnt the apn I posted in this post work then you might to have to change network provider.

 

I've had similar problems for a few days, just started working again this afternoon when I got home. Any chance you live in the south of sweden(Lund or similar)?
