Ebay from USA, expenses to Sweden

Hello, all, I won a Razer Blade Stealth on an auction on ebay, i7-8565u, MX150 version. Have to pay 215 USD + 68 USD shipping for it. On top of that I have 71 USD of VAT to Sweden because USA isnt EU.
I am a student from a non-EU European country here on exchange for 5 months. I just have a residence permit here, no personnummer etc.
First, is this a good deal, to pay 360 USD for this laptop?
Second, is there a way to avoid this VAT of 71 USD as I am here temporarily?
Could I sell the laptop here on Marketplace for $360 just to break even if I dont find it good enough, as I wanted a 1165G7, 1650ti version more than this old one?

my suggestion for you, send it to your home adress in your non-EU european country and pick it up fopm there. No VAT.

If you're not a resident and reside in a country outside of the EU, you can receive a VAT Refund, but that only applies to goods purchased in Sweden, and doesn't apply to second hand purhcases (as I understand it), so there's probably no way around it.

That is quite an old laptop and the GPU (MX150) is very weak, so I'm not sure what you would get for it. About 3000-3500 SEK might be possible I guess, but I wouldn't risk it.

Yeah, I gave up on the Razer I found an MSI 13" 2in1 with a 13th gen i7, which is a more sensible buy, even double the price of the Razer but its a brand new laptop. Only issue is I have to pay double the VAT now, around 150 USD... I also called Tullverket, they told me VAT is paid when the item comes to Sweden, but eBay is forcing me to pay the Vat on the "pay now" screen, and promises thats the final fixed price, that no other expenses are gonna happen on the way to my temporary address here in sweden. Even like that, I feel bad for paying 25% to Sweden for no reason. Im trying to figure something out over a friend in USA, so he sends me the laptop to sweden as a gift or something, idk... Theres no way Im paying so much to Sweden
