Milestone?

What, like, do the marketing folks really think that the European and South American Android crowd would miss the pronunciation / reference ? As if Milestone were a better name.

 

Yeah, milestone is really a silly name for a mobilephone, but they maybe though, afterall this is our first Android phone, and let's call it Milestone, because it's a huge step for the development of the mobile market?
That was just a though, and I have no facts about it, but it does not sound that crazy?

 

The Droid name is trademarked so that probably has something to do with it.
