My LG 2x and screen freeze and elgiganten

    I sent my 2x off for repairs on the 18th of July because of the black screen freeze problem.

    I am not sure if the problem is a hardware or a software problem.

    I get the typical black scrren locks after a call, during charging, and random black screens. Never while running an app.

    I thought the problem was hardware so I sent it in, but now I start to wonder and regret I sent it away. Who knows when it will come back.

    I any event, anyone else have experience with the elgiganten service? I sent it to them in Jönköping, but I don't know what they do with it from there.

    Please let me know of your experiences.

    I have not used them for RMAs myself. If they use anovo there is always a big risk you will get it back in a very "scratched" state. So taking a picture and make the personnel (at the reseller) sign that your product is in good shape.
    An other problem is that anovo/repair company is that they can always blame water damage.

    Hopefully you won't experience any of this.

    And with Elgiganted, if you are granted a new phone, check that it really is new. Their 30 days "öppet köp" also means they sell returned products as new. So always double check the state of the item and that all accessories are there.

    Elgiganten don't use Anovo as far as i know.

    thanks for the feedback guys! Let's see what they send back to me and when.

    They certainly follow the bare minimum of konsumentlagen. Nothing more, that's for sure.

    Are any of the other retailers more generous? Katching, for example?

    Ok, thanks! So elgiganten just forwards the mobile on to the company LG dictates? they don't do any diagnostics themselves?

    I'm just wondering how fast the turnaround time will be and hoping they don't just send it back to me saying that they didn't find a problem.

    On second thought that might not be bad because then I will put a MOD on it instead.

    whats your source?

    I have been in contact with the other firm that is not anovo and they do "repair" LG-phones as well.

    Cheapest firm wins
    Sure there may be a check first to see if it's just a software update needed in other repair shops but if it's hardware it ALWAYS ends up at Anovo

    Still no mobile returned from elegiganten-electroworld. They've had it 10 business days.

    Can't believe they have such a lousey policy towards customers. They assume the phone is good until proven bad, and then they either 'fix' it or replace it.

    Crossing my fingers, or tempted to just go out and buy a samsung g2 and take the loss.

    My 2X was in the shop for a good 5 weeks, and is there again. Interestingly enough I am starting to enjoy my Samsung I7500 again :neutral:
