.

I see that you would want to know more about the HDR + feature on the Pixel 2 phone. To explain more about this, the HDR+ mode balances the darkest and brightest areas of your photos, making them more vivid.
On the top bar, tap
HDR+ to:
- Turn it off for all photos.
- Turn it to Auto to let Camera decide when to use HDR+.
- Turn it on for all photos (we recommend you use this for all types of scenes).
On Pixel 2, HDR+ is always on and the setting is hidden. If you want more control, you can put HDR+ settings on the top bar by going to Menu

Advanced and tapping the "HDR+ control" switch.
Once you have HDR+ control on your top bar, you can:
- Turn it off for all photos.
- Turn it on for all photos.
- Activate HDR+ enhanced mode that makes pictures even more vivid, but takes a little bit longer to process. Don't forget to turn HDR+ enhanced mode off when you're done with it.
