Viber problem..med ics?

    Hej.jag undrar om det är någon mer som har samma problem som jag.jag kan inte gå ut programmet när jag vill avsluta det.måste starta om mobilen eller stänga av processen för att komma ur.kan det blir bättre i jelly bean.någon som har en lösning?

    Viber funkade inte när jag fick ICS.
    Runt december förra året kom en ICS-funktionabel Viber.
    EFter det - inga problem.

    Sen fick jag Jelly Bean... Problemet åter. Funkar inte.
    Den loopar och visar något om att skicka error report, som också krashar. :)
    Skräp är det.

    Har konverterat mina vänner till att köra rebtel istället.
    Funkar bättre, låter bättre och klarar handover mellan 3G och Wifi.
    Saknar dock "sms"-funktion - men wtf - det har jag whatsapp till.

    Hi,

    Viber does not officially support Jelly Bean devices yet, and this is probably the reason for the problem you are experiencing.

    We are working these days on adding support and full compatibility to Jelly Bean, and we hope to include it in one of our future versions.
    Once we have news, we will let you know :)

    My only concern is, since I'm dependent on using a VoIP service, that we
    have to wait several months before an update arrives.
    Many other softwares gets updated more or less once SDK is released.

    Unfortunately, I have to find another solution since this doesn't work out
    to wait this amount of time before being able to use it again.

    Apart from that - it's a great software - but the slow updates make a huge
    problem for me, my gf and her family.

    Hi Anders,

    Jelly Bean was officially released only a few weeks ago. We are working around the clock, within the frame of the resources and manpower we have, to develop full Viber compatibility to it. If all goes as planned, it should take much less than months, since the shift from ICS to Jelly Bean is not *that* dramatic.

    We thank you for the kind compliments to our service, and we apologize for the temporary inconvenience caused. Once we have news, we'll let you know :)

    Viber 2.2 does not support Jelly Bean yet. We are aware of this, and of course - we did not neglect our Jelly Bean users!
    Don't worry, this is our top priority at the moment, and we are presently working hard on this issue and hope to have it resolved for you shortly. We ask our fans for a bit more patience, and we apologize for the temporary inconvenience :/

    Can I just ask a simple question regarding the compatibility issues we experiencing...

    There are several other competeters to Viber "out there".
    Skype and Rebtel are two as well as Tango.
    How come these w/o any updates just worked flawlessly in JB while Viber didn't?
    Also - same from 2.3 to 4.0.

    This is a good question, and the answer is related to the specific kind of voice technology and codecs we're using. Different programming and more complex HD codecs and integration with your phone make your app more "vulnerable" to OS updates and changes. We are currently working hard on fixing Viber for Jelly Bean, and we hope to release a fully compatible version soon.

    Is the problem with 4.1.2 fixed? i tried your app i month ago and i hade to uninstall it because of the problems it causes.

    We've released a few update since then, so many of the bugs that you experienced should be resolved now.

    We recommend that you try it out once more, and let us know if indeed this is the case. If not, we'll certainly look into it.

    Nope,, still got problems. The app is making the contact list very slow to open. And I can hardly make a phone call takes several minutes until the contact shows

    We must admit - we haven't received similar reports from Galaxy Nexus users. Are you sure this problem is not caused by some external influence of another application, or a setting in Android?

    @viber,,, it seems to work now. i upgraded to jb 4.2 and i got problems with the update. Similar like when i hade viber-app installed, but worse. I found in settings all apps two of "contacts", one small one and one with lots of data. So i forced cloesed the app and empty them both. Then the phone start working again and i tried to install the viber app. So far the app works like a charm and im goint to try it for a couple of days. if there is problems ill get back otherwise its working :)

    ps. btw, your support send an email in return saing that they dont support third-party app about your own viber app :cool:
