I have installed an app, Android-Sync, from APK but now I can't find the installed app to start. Normally I have no problem finding the installed app to start. I find it in one of the pages, usually somewhere under "App" where you find apps searched for. In this case it never turns up there, and I have no idea where to look more...

It's on an old Xperia XZ1 Compact with Android 9.

If its installed correctly you should be able to find it under settings -->Apps.
What exactly is the app supposed to do?
Do you have a link to info about it.

It syncs data between Android mobile and Outlook. Also has a notepad app included since there wasn't any "standard" notepad app with older Android that could be used to sync with outlook.

And yes, it's found in "Apps & notifications" and there I can see a lot of information about the app. But I have no start icon to start the app. When installing new apps there is normally a start icon created in one of the app home pages, but not with this one.
