Yes it sounds like the problem is your battery, send it for RMA.
There is a RED button when you open your sim card thing, the red button is hard reset. Power + volume up could work too.
If you install PAC stamina will get deleted annd all the camera modes like thimrshift burst.
Yes with root you can completely delete it.

Then I guess you need to reflash .314ftf with Flashtool, install CWM or any recovery and flash ROM through that then:/
Just flash through recovery mode;)
All I can say is try different Roms :) My personal favourite is RomAur or ExistenZ

You can download any recovery and ROM, I sugesst cwm and existenz rom, google them and you find it. Only 3 things you have to do,start with...
What I did is that i flashed existenz ROM with modded volume sound in notifications by auras, so SMS and other notifications is loud for me:)

Have you tried to fresh restore it? Otherwise I would make RMA
Is your phone rooted or modded in any way? Maybe it is any deep sleep problem or anything, i had the problem but that was because I was playing...
You can either use flashtool to flash stock ftf, or reflash doomkernel through your PC :)
