BankID / Mobilt BankID - uppdateringar och allmänt

According to my knowlege you cant have BankID on more than 2 devices at the same time. Also you are not allowed to have 2 different BankID om the same device. I think thats your problem. Remove one of the old BankID and it should work activating on your new device.

 

Custom Roms can contain unknown backdoors, thats why BankID will not work if the app recognise that its a custom ROM.

 

This can be simplified even further: it requires you to hold Swedish nationality. So let's say it openly if that's the case.

I don't believe this to be true. I think you can have it active on up to 3 (or 5?) devices.

So can official ROMs. I'm not sure I trust bloatware Xiaomi puts in for example. It's not like we didn't have cases of manufacturers putting questionable code on the devices.

But yeah, I'll try it with some of my phones running official ROMs the next time I go to the bank. It will be fun to come with multiple phones and try them all.

 

Vad händer om vi får en regering som inte gillar vissa politiska/religiösa/sexuella etc riktningar, då kan banken bli ålagd att stoppa BankID för allt möjligt. Dvs man blir avstängd från en hel del i samhället. Tänk vad Stasi och liknande diktaturer skulle varit glada för en sån kontrollapparat!

Det jag hittills har råkat ut för i sammanhanget om "kundkännedom" var när jag skulle flytta en summa som försäkringsbolaget hade satt in på lönekontot, till mitt sparkonto. Då konfiskerades pengarna tills jag hade skickat in ett intyg om orsaken till att jag hade fått försäkringspengar. Nå, det blev lite OT, vad jag vill få fram är att banken kan (på statens uppdrag) agera fortare än man anar!

So the block remains mysterious and nobody will tell me anything about it.

Oh well, I'll book a visit to the bank again and just try with new devices.

 

Not correct. I have it on 4 (2x android, iPhone, iPad). The latest one installed earlier this year.
Edit: All 4 not from the same bank though. I think it's 3x Swedbank and one Skandiabanken.

Issues like this can drive anybody insane fast. I know! My Norwegian BankID expired recently, and I did not have a chance to meet the requirements for renewal. There was a soloution that took me two three weeks to get in order because nobody knew howto.
I am still working on getting my mental state back in working condition.

Problems with BankID is not a specific Swedish issue, it's all over EU, and USA is even worse, but that's another story.

In a nutshell, you can use your drivers license to pick up a package but it's not considered safe enough for BankID. Going to the bank with a drivers license is not gonna cut it.
BTW, that's also why you can't add a drivers license as ID in BankID.

It was more about the background info about why the drivers license is not good enough and that hasn't changed since. The proposition in the link was about a general change not specific to banks and bankID. It actually doesn't matter whether it went through or not.

The point is that now you need NFC to activate BankID directly in the app with a Swedish passport or national ID card. If you don't have that, you'll have to visit the bank and they'll ask you for a national ID or passport not a drivers license. I've experienced it 5 months ago at LF and you'll find the same feedback from many people on this forum like @yomlal or reddit.

So in practice banks and bankID are already there even if it is not stated formally.

Konfunderad över detta. Går det verkligen att nedgradera öht utan att förlora all data? Oavsett app?

 

Lyckades inte beställa nytt BankID mellan iPhone -> Pixel 9 Pro likt någon annan här i tråden. Pixeln lyckas inte hitta iPhonen, den fortsätter bara att söka.

Löste det hela genom att beställa BankID via webben istället, det krävde dock ett nationellt ID-kort eller pass. Men slapp prata med banken så jag är nöjd! Kanske hjälper någon mer som springer på liknande.

 

Vad är det för data du är rädd att förlora?
Jag kör än idag med den sista versionen som tillät inspelningen av samtal (mitt skäl). Allt flyter på normalt än så länge.
Du får väl prova själv, det går ju alltid att ominstallera BankID om det skulle behövas.

 

Ok så det funkar fortfarande. Är bara så nyfiken på exakt hur du gjorde för att inte behöva ett nytt BankID för det fick jag.
Hur fick du bort den nya versionen utan att radera allt?
