The main differences from the original MK802 are redesigned PCB layout, power regulator (previous Mk802 didnt have one), extra USB socket, nicer design (we think!), ESD circuitry. The firmware is based on the second Rikomagic update and the device will run Linux from an SD card as it did before.
The CPU clock speed hasn't changed but as there is now proper power management on board it should make tweaking things much easier. it also allows soft shutdown so you can now properly power down the device. The standard clock speed is fairly generic across all A10 devices at 1008MHZ.
A dedicated power adapter is no longer necessary as there is ample current available from any modern USB socket to power the device, if you choose to use a PSU then you can use any USB mains adapter to power the device.
