Den stora Huawei Mate 9 / Pro Tråden

Tyvärr så verkar det inte troligt att båda kommer initialt. Förmodligen kommer bara den lilla som folk inte vill ha? :-)
Jag är ärligt talat lite trött på att bo i ett U-land när det gäller mobiler mm.
Jag förstår om inte alla modeller kan lanseras på varenda marknad, men det vore ju bra om man kunde beställa dom flesta modellerna direkt från distributören även om just den modellen inte finns på vår marknad.

 

Precis. Även om Telia mfl ej blir återförsäljare så borde det iaf gå att beställa en internationell version direkt från Huawei. Men vi få väl helt enkelt vänta och se...

 

Den lanseras väl i Tyskland. Borde det inte betyda stora chanser att den kommer relativt fort till Europa?

Jo, men ryktet säger att det ska komma två versioner. Den ena med edge och mer premium hårdvara och det är den jag är lite orolig inte kommer släppas utanför Kina...

Är Huawei smarta så går dom all in med Mate 9 och plockar marknad från Samsung nu. Men då behöver den nog släppas i November eller senast December.

 

både mate 7 och mate 8 släpptes i november, så ser inte varför det inte skulle bli samma denna gången.

 

19e är datumet då kirin 960 kommer offentliggöras. Alltså inte många timmar kvar nu, nedräkningen har börjat.
Kirin 960 är huvudnumret för mate 9 och mycket hänger på cpun, men jag väntar mig som sagt inget annat än att kirin 960 kommer bli den snabbaste cpun nu precis som kirin 950 blev i några månader.

Bilden ovan innehåller några minatyr bilder som skvallrar om IRIS scanner, något form av förhöjd säkerhet på mjukvaran (med tanke på skölden), skon kan förmodligen tolkas som en förbättrat health app och mer fokus på hälsa. blixten, snabbladdning, örat och EQen tolkar jag som klart förbättrat ljud samt en mer avancerad inbyggd ljudspelare med EQ funktionalitet.

 

Efter Note7 gate och att Google Pixel kommer bli brutal försenad om den äns kommer tilll Sverige så har ju Huawei en sån guld sits nu. Är dom smarta trycker dom ut Mate9 till Europa ASAP önskvärt är att man kan få telefonerna någon gång i November. Jag är så sjukt sugen på att köpa denna efter floppen med Note7 som jag väntat på länge länge och även besvikelsen över Pixel. Tycker dock det vore jävligt lustigt om man släpper den med edge skärm och framförallt daydream kompatibla enbart i Kina och ger oss en "sämre" version. Tror ärligt talat inte det blir så, vore för korkat för att vara sant

 

Du kan sannolitk köpa den internationella versionen av mate 9 redan några dagar efter eventet.
I sverige får vi nog vänta några veckor då det förmodligen skeppas med båt och tar några veckor innan det kommer fram.

 

1. Tror ni att man kan förvänta sig att Google assistanten kommer till Mate 9?

2. Har jag förstått det rätt att Mate är deras premiummodell jämfört med Honor?

 

Vad jag vet kommer den komma i och med Android 7.1 vilket är nästa år inte tidigare.

För övrigt anser jag röst styrning vara en riktig gimmick. Det är bara under vissa specifika scenarion som den är bra typ att hitta en restaurang i närheten osv men set är ändå bara gimmick över det hela.

New chip boasts Mali-G71 MP8 GPU and ARM Cortex-A73 cores, upgraded networking tech.

Today at a press conference in Shanghia, China, Huawei officially unveiled the chip that's expected to feature in its next flagship phone when it's announced in early November. The Kirin 960 processor uses four of ARM's new, high-performance Cortex-A73 cores and four low-powered A53 cores, produced using a 16nm manufacturing process. It's also the first processor to use ARM's Mali-G71 MP8 GPU for improved graphics and gaming performance.

At today's press conference, Huawei demonstrated a Kirin 960 test device alongside an iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 7, demonstrating that out of the 14 most common apps in China, 13 launch fastest using Kirin 960, as opposed to the two competing devices.



Huawei's own numbers show that Apple's A10 processor still rules in single-core performance, however Kirin 960 pulls ahead of the latest iPhones — and all the Android competitors — in the company's multicore tests.

Kirin 960's new Mali-G71 GPU is 180% faster than the previous generation Mali-T880, coming close to matching the iPhone's graphical prowess; Huawei contends that other areas of Kirin's performance allow it to feel faster — for instance, faster random read/writes thanks to UFS 2.1 storage support. (For what it's worth, Mali-G71 is the GPU rumored to appear in Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S8 in early 2017.

Huawei's already using the GPU rumored to come with the Galaxy S8.

Connectivity-wise, Kirin 960 significantly adds native CDMA support, which potentially allows it to potentially break into markets where the standard is still in use, like the United States. (Previously, CDMA tech would've been licensed from Qualcomm.) The new chip also supports four component carriers (4CC) for LTE, as opposed to rivals' 3CC, effectively adding extra channels for data throughput, and making it easier to hit peak data speeds of 600Mbps. There's support for Cat. 12 LTE for downloads, and Cat. 13 for uploads, and support for radio frequencies between 330MHz and 3.8GHz, opening up the chip a wide range of carriers globally. Huawei also says it's improved radio performance in specific, challenging situations, like using data on a high-speed train.

Huawei also talked up the new chip's camera capabilities, demonstrating how its new ISP (image signal processor), which it says takes smartphone cameras "closer to the vision of the human eye." These can create clearer images, showing improvements in fine detail reproduction through an "eye test" between its new image processing tech and the iPhone 7 Plus. The processor also allows for a wider range of refocusing options than previous generations. (Naturally, overall image quality will depend on the optics paired with Kirin 960 in upcoming phones.)



'How can we reduce the power consumption of finding Pokémon?'

Battery life continues to be a major focus, and Huawei used the example of Pokémon Go to show how it can work to reduce power consumption from demanding apps. Working with partners, Huawei says the optimizations in its low-power i6 "smart sensing" core allows users to go from less than half a day of Pokémon catching to 1.2 days — thanks to enhancements like low-power GPS.

When it comes to security, Huawei announced that Kirin 960 has been certified by UnionPay and the People's Bank of China for use with mobile payments. Meanwhile Huawei's Kirin inSE security design builds security into the SoC design itself, adding over 1000 "anti-hacking sensors," along with a 3-tier security system and support for financial industry standard encryption techniques.

Huawei didn't officially announce any new phones with the processor, however the features showcased at today's Kirin presser show what we're likely to see from the next Huawei flagship — the rumored Mate 9 when it's announced on November 3 in Munich, Germany.

At a media briefing here in China today, Huawei unwrapped its new HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset, which is expected to power its upcoming rumoured smartphone for next month. Featuring the latest generation Mali GPU, fastest ARM CPU cores and upgraded networking technology, the Kirin 960 promises several advancements over previous generations, and rival processors.

The Kirin 960 is made up of four high-performance ARM Cortex A73 cores at 2.4GHz alongside four low-power Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and built using a 16nm manufacturing process. The Kirin 960 is also the first processor to use the new Mali-G71 MP8 GPU, which is rumoured to be inside the Galaxy S8 next year.



During the briefing, Huawei took the example of benchmark scores and showed that while the A10 Fusion chipset inside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is faster in a single-core test, the Kirin 960 leads the way in multi-core testing. However, Huawei says that faster random read/write speeds thanks to UFS 2.1 storage allows the Kirin 960 to ‘feel faster‘ than other chipsets.



The Mali-G71 MP8 GPU also brings much needed improvements to the gaming element of the user experience, with performance 180% faster than the previous generation Mali-T880 GPU used inside previous Kirin chipsets (and other devices). Combined with support for Vulkan support, this allows the chipset to support much better gaming (40 FPS vs 10FPS on previous GPUs) while also ensuring the load on the CPU doesn’t create a bottleneck that affects the user experience. Huawei went further to say that in its own testing, out of the most popular 14 apps used in China, the Kirin 960 was the fastest to open 13 of them when compared with the competition.




The Kirin 960 also brings native CDMA support, allowing it to be compatible with markets where CDMA and 2G services are still in operation, whereas previously Huawei would have had to license from Qualcomm. The Kirin 960 also brings support for 4 component carriers (4CC) for LTE versus 3CC on other chipsets, which essentially adds extra channels for data throughput, ensures a much wider range and makes it much easier to hit peak data speeds of 600Mbps.

The Kirin 960 also offers Cat 12 LTE download speeds and Cat 13 upload, as well as the widest range of radio frequencies; supporting the spectrum from 330MHz to 3.8GHz opens up support for a wide range of global carriers and essentially means your phone should work in every global market. The improvements don’t stop there as Huawei has also improved radio performance for specific challenging situations such as data usage on a high-speed train and boasts 100% reliability (whereas rivals only ever achieve up to 99% and usually a lot lower).

The Kirin 960 also brings a new Image Signalling Processor (ISP) which boasts advancements for camera capabilities, although this does largely depend on the optics used in a smartphone as well. On stage, Huawei used the example of a traditional eye test to show how close the Kirin 960 comes to what we perceive from the human eye, as well as how much more advanced it is than the iPhone 7 Plus. The Kirin 960 also supports a wider range of refocusing options, focal lengths and field of view than previous generations although this will, again, depend on the actual optics of the smartphone as well.


Like most chipset manufacturers, Huawei has focused heavily on battery life and through its work with partners, the Kirin 960 offers much better battery life. Using Pokemon Go as an example, Huawei said the i6 inside the Kirin 960 allows users to go from just half a day’s battery life when playing Pokemon Go to 1.2 days thanks to the improvements, which include low-power GPS. Essentially, the i6 core allows you to experience much better battery life without changing your habits.



Security is also a major focus in the Kirin 960, with Huawei boasting the new chipset is certified by both UnionPay and the People’s Bank of China’s new digital requirements for mobile payments. The biggest difference in the Kirin 960 is that mobile payments are embedded into the SoC itself alongside over 4 billion transistors making it more difficult for thieves to crack encryption. In a video, the company showed that it’s theoretically possible for hackers to remove a security chipset from a phone to access the data but having a security design that embeds into the chipset itself makes this less appealing.



The security improvements also include a new 3-tier security system that makes it harder to crack the encryption and support for financial industry standard encryption. Huawei also says it aims to obtain certification from foreign bodies for its security solutions, presumably so it’s able to offer mobile payment services in other markets as well. Huawei hasn’t revealed which handsets will use the new chipset but presumably, the first handset will be the rumoured Mate 9 when it’s announced on November 3 in Munich, Germany. kommer det att gå och använda en mate 9 (long island) fullt ut i Sverige? Med tanke på menyer på svenska samt gsm band och dylikt? Om man nu beställer en ifrån aliexpress eller dylikt?

 

Finns nog tyvärr inget bra svar på det än. Får invänta 4 nov. :-|

 

Modemet i kirin 960 är bättre och det lär även denna gången stöda fler frekvensband då detta är en klar trend bland nya chip dvs at ha stöd för fler frekvensband. Modemet i kirin 950 och 955 stödjer varenda frekvens band i sverige allt från gsm, 2g, 3g och 4g inget frekvensband har inte stöd.
Även om huawei släpper olika versioner för blandannat en kinesisk version och en internationell version har dom alltid samma modem, för att få ner kostnanden satsar dom istället på ett modem som stödjer så många frekvensband som möjligt för att slippa släppa regionalanpassade versioner vilket både är dyrt och medför konstander, så ja jag kan nog lova dig att mate 9 kommer funka precis lika bra.
