Låter ju skitfarligt! Verkligen tur att jag inte beställde någon.
Hade svarat ungefär såhär:
Thank you for the important information regarding the safety issue with the batteries. Because of unsafe batteries, it is not legal to send the item back over an international border, as international parcels are often sent by air. Of course, I cannot send batteries knowing they are unsafe. I would be liable if the airplane crashes and people die. Also, I am required by law to send the potentially unsafe item to Swedish authorities for testing, as I have been made aware of the safety issue. I'll have to send the lamps to the electrical safety inspection. You can see:
Manufacturers, importers and distributors | Elsäkerhetsverket
If they find the item unsafe, and not conforming to European regulation for CE-certification, they will issue an EU-wide sales ban and recall for this item. It will be published on RAPEX and the electrical safety inspection website. You can see:
Safety Gate for dangerous non-food products
Försäljningsförbud | Elsäkerhetsverket
If the product is unsafe the seller can also receive huge fines.
Unfortunately, we hear a lot about electrical safety issues with items on Amazon of Chinese origin.
I will contact Amazon customer service and inform them of the issue with this item. If other customers return this lamp to Amazon, they have to be safely handled and destroyed, not restocked by accident.
