" Not a gtab user bit think I understand the problem. I have aclear iPhone 4 case. When on it creates the same type of oil blob appearance on the back. There is no moisture. It is simply the interface of the contact point of the 2 surfaces causing this rainbow oil boob appearance on the tab. In all likelihood the gtab has the LCD and glass layer very close together due to the thinness.
As a result at times there might be slight contact between the 2 causing this effect.
Temperature may have an effect as things generally expand a tiny bit with heat and may explain why it goes away when not used."
"Totally reliant on temperature as far as I can tell. My daughter gave my tablet of a big squeeze while playing "cut the rope" and I had a 3.5 x 1" mess in the middle of the screen. 30 minutes later it was gone. Then after putting it in the dock for an hour (next to a window with the 112 degree Phoenix sun outside) and the oil slick was back in full force.
To test your theory I put it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes well monitoring it, and the effect shrunk down to nothing. Nothing since then, but we'll see what happens tomorrow.. :-) "
" I had the same issue, but with more than half of my screen. This happened right after I applied carbon fiber tape with a blow dryer. The problem went away after 30 minutes of non use with the tab turned off. The moisture leaked out and dried on top of the screen, I had to use a cloth to clean the exterior of the glass. Never had this problem happen again. Seems to me that this isn’t that big of a deal and it is caused by heat from first "
