Project Update #18: Where is my Pressy???

Beloved backers, so much has happened since the last update, we have encountered numerous problems and waited until we find the solutions to update you.
We manufactured over 30,000 units but unfortunately,and to our surprise, in the final quality assurance test, we discovered that few of the buttons begin to stutter after a few hundred clicks. Therefor, we decided to recall the entire batch, knowing that it will delay the delivery, and to send a product that we know is 100% reliable. It was not an easy decision but it's one that we stand by.
We investigated the problem and the reason for the malfunction turned out to be lack of precision in one of the assembly steps. We have modified the assembly line once again and, added three new steps to the quality assurance test - and now the Pressys who pass it are guaranteed to be perfect.
We are aware the Pressy seems like a fairly simple device, but it contains tiny electronics inside of it that has to withstand significant mechanical pressures, which is tough issue to deal with.
The new buttons will start to roll out once the assembly line is complete by in a few days, this time we'll be there personally during the tests to guarantee that everything goes by the plan, from rolling them out of the factory to sending them out to you all. Asusual, we'll be posting live updates on our Twitter, Instagram and Facebook feeds.
If everything goes right (and it better go right this time!) we asses that in less than two weeks all the Pressys will be on their way to the backers. You will get an email from us confirming that the package is on it's way.
The Pressy app will be published in the Google Play store once we start the delivery. The package will have an activation code inside. You will have to enter it only one time, and will be able to use your Pressy on different devices or pass it to a friend.
We completely understand the frustration of supporting a project and then waiting so long to get the fruits of your investment. Pressy is our lives for over a year and we are eager to get it out there.
Some of the mistakes we've made down the road were due to the rush of releasing as soon as possible, and we try to avoid making those again.
