USB connection to TV

My TV is not an Android one but supports USB.but the issue is my TV cannot play some movies on the USB..Actually, it only played one animation film..Why is this happening..It's TCL one

 

TCL build own apps for video playing dosent relly support many formats and with no smart TV some support like VCL its going to be bad one.

 

What's the format of the file that is working compared to the files that are not working. Perhaps you can convert them to the same format to get em playing.

 

Its WMV files. I will try what you advised

 

are all files wmv’s but only one of them works?

 

Unfortunately the file ending doesn't say much about what codec is being used. Compare the file that are working with the ones not working with a tool like this to see what actual codec is being used: KC Softwares
With some luck the file ending is just wrong and the TV is picky about having the right one. Let us know what different codecs they are using and we might be able to help.

TCL TV atlest for Android TV do connect it by bug report and stuff true the HDMI 2 port.

 

Try to convert to MPEG 2 or MPEG 4 and then try to play the file/files again
