Agent Elisa: Hi, thanks for choosing Sony Ericsson Chat Support. My name is Elisa. How may I help you?
Tim Svensson: Hello, just got information that 2.1 will roll out very soon. When is " very soon " ?
Agent Elisa: The update is still on schedule to be released at the end of this month. We do not have information as to what specific versions of the devices will get the updates first or in what order, nor is there a list at this time explaining this. This is our official statement, I do not have anything more to added. Is there any other question I can answer for you relating to a technical problem?
Tim Svensson: Well i have one last question, I don't know if it's really a " technical problem " . Sony Ericsson stated that The X10 don't have Multitouch, nor the hardware can support it. But how is it possible for a single " hacker " to insert Multitouch in the phone. And yes there is video proof.
Agent Elisa: The Sony Ericsson Xperia 10 hardware is not prepared for multitouch, if the hacker entered new software and tampered with the original software this can cause your phone to become automaticly out of the warranty. Even if there is proof this is not something we support.
Tim Svensson: Okay. But then why do you go out official with " The hardware does not support Multitouch " And you tell me that " it's not prepared ". Is it because Apple got patent on Multitouch? The information Sony Ericsson is giving ous customers is very confusing. There is never a straight honest answer.
Agent Elisa: I'm being honest. Our platform and software and our products can never be compared with any other brand such as the Iphone since they are not remotetly the same. The only thing the have in common is that they are both smartphones .
The Xperia 10 is not meant to be multitouch and even after the upgrade it will not be multitouch either.
Tim Svensson: Oaky, yes i believe you. don't get me wrong. I know that we won't get multitouch. But i find it very confusing about the answers around Multitouch. Final Question: The hardware supports Multitouch in the phone, but is it the " screen " or " screen chip " that is built for Singletouch only? - > Does multitouch actually work 100% on the phone if it would be available?
Agent Elisa: I don't know ir and that is the honest answer I can give to you.
Tim Svensson: Okay, well thank you for your time
