Google har utökat högsta antalet medlemmar i de så kallade ”rummen” i Chat från 8000 till 50 000. Tanken är att exempelvis stora företag och organisationer ska kunna skicka meddelanden och tillkännagivanden till samtliga anställda.

En annan nyhet är möjligheten att söka efter medlemmar inuti grupperna. Administratörer kan på så vis ända en medlems roll inom gruppen, eller bjuda in användaren ifall personen inte redan är medlem.

Ändringarna gäller specifikt för Workspace-kunder.

In continuing our efforts to boost communication and collaboration for teams of all sizes in Google Workspace, we’re increasing the number of users you can add to a space in Google Chat from 8,000 to 50,000.
